IT security audit
IT Security and Cybersecurity Audit for Companies
An IT security audit shows you where your company is exposed before an attacker finds out: accounts without two-factor authentication, unpatched servers, backups that can't be restored, ports open to the internet. You get a report with risks ranked by severity and a clear list of what to fix.
What’s included
- 01
External exposure
We scan what is visible from the internet: open ports and services, VPN, remote access, certificates and weak configurations.
- 02
Accounts and Microsoft 365
Password policies, two-factor authentication, administrator accounts, conditional access and file sharing.
- 03
Workstations, servers and patching
Unpatched systems, missing antivirus or EDR, local admin rights on workstations, exposed servers.
- 04
Backup and recovery
We check whether immutable copies exist, whether they are tested by actual restores and how long it takes to recover after an incident.
- 05
Network and Wi-Fi
Network segmentation, the guest network, the firewall and equipment no longer supported by the vendor.
- 06
Report and remediation plan
Risks ranked by impact and likelihood, with concrete steps, estimated effort and what to fix first.
Why an IT security audit
Most incidents at small and mid-sized companies don’t come from sophisticated attacks but from simple things: an account without two-factor authentication, an unpatched server, remote access left open to the internet, or a backup that has never been restored. An IT security audit finds them before someone else does and tells you, in order of priority, what to fix.
What you get after the audit
- Executive summary: the overall risk level and the 5–10 most important issues, written for the people who approve the budget.
- Technical findings: each issue with evidence, the affected system, severity and remediation steps.
- Remediation plan: what gets fixed in the first week, what in the first month and what goes into the long-term budget.
- Post-remediation check: on request, we re-check that the issues have been resolved.
Cybersecurity audit, NIS2 and cyber insurance
The audit report is a solid starting point for NIS2 compliance and for conversations with insurers, who increasingly ask for proof of two-factor authentication, immutable backup and an incident response plan. If you want the measures implemented as well, we can take them on through our cybersecurity services or an IT maintenance contract.

How we work
- Step 1
We define the scope
We agree on what to check: workstations, servers, Microsoft 365, network, applications, one or several locations.
- Step 2
We collect and test
Scans, configuration reviews and short interviews with the people who run your IT.
- Step 3
The audit report
You receive the findings, risk levels and recommendations, explained for both management and the technical team.
- Step 4
Remediation (optional)
If you wish, we implement the measures and re-check, or hand them over to your team.

What is an IT security audit?
It is a review of your company's IT environment (accounts, workstations, servers, network, backup, cloud services) that identifies vulnerabilities and risky configurations before they are used in an attack. The result is a report with risks ranked by severity and a remediation plan.
What is the difference between a security audit and a penetration test?
An audit takes a broad look at configurations, processes and protective measures. A penetration test actively tries to exploit vulnerabilities in an application or network, the way a real attacker would. Many companies start with an audit and follow up with a [penetration test](/en/penetration-testing/) on their critical systems.
How much does a cybersecurity audit cost?
The price depends on the scope: the number of workstations and servers, locations, applications and cloud services reviewed. After a short call you receive a fixed-price quote. The initial risk assessment, with the first findings, is free.
Does the audit help with NIS2 compliance?
Yes. NIS2 requires risk management measures, and the audit shows what is missing on the technical side: two-factor authentication, backup, logging, segmentation. For documentation and legal obligations, see [NIS2 and GDPR compliance](/en/nis2-gdpr-compliance/).
How long does an IT security audit take?
For a small company with a single location, a few working days. For companies with several locations, servers and applications, a few weeks. We set the exact timeline together with the scope.

- Penetration testingA penetration test is a simulated, controlled attack on your company's systems. It shows which vulnerabilities can actually be exploited, with what impact and in what order they should be fixed. Pricing is set based on scope.
